About this blog
There was a time when Women were the healers.
"Women have always been healers. They were the unlicensed doctors and anatomists of western history. They were abortionists, nurses and counsellors. They were pharmacists, cultivating healing herbs and exchanging the secrets of their uses. They were midwives, travelling from home to home and village to village. For centuries women were doctors without degrees, barred from books and lectures, learning from each other, and passing on experience from neighbor to neighbor and mother to daughter. They were called "wise women" by the people, witches or charlatans by the authorities. Medicine is part of our heritage as women, our history, our birthright."

This Journal is about Healing in its myriad forms ... healing ourselves, others, animals, pets, plants, environments, neighborhoods, communities, and the planet. If it has to do with healing, I'll be posting it. Could be as simple as a healing song, drum beat, or image. Could be a well researched article, or a found article.
It's also about uncovering the rich history of women healers and striving to inspire us to remember ourselves.
Wise Women Heal™ is for men and women so all are welcome. In the spirit of the Wise Woman Healer, we approach healing in a multi-disciplinary way…as a matter of body/mind/spirit in its natural relationship to the world.
This is a blog, which means this is a conversation. I’m eager to learn about your own healing successes and failures. A proper conversation takes a dedicated community; this is OUR place to re-discover our sacred healer selves.
